CEA-Scan (99mTc-Arcitumomab) presents nuclear medicine and referring physicians with a powerful tool that in conjunction with standard diagnostic modalities can better evaluate patients with suspected metastatic or recurrent colorectal cancer. Being that CEA-Scan is a 99mTc-labeled Fab’ antibody fragment, there are new performance and interpretation challenges for the nuclear medicine practitioner to overcome.

In order to help meet these challenges, Immunomedics is offering the services of its technical staff to help nuclear medicine departments around the world meet the expectations of local surgeons and oncologists for excellent CEA-Scan studies. The Immunomedics team of expert physicians and technologists is ready to assist clinical departments in the performance and interpretation of CEA-Scan studies. In the following pages we have assembled some practical tips learned through months of close work with dozens of departments undertaking their first studies with CEA-Scan on a wide range of imaging systems. Departments that employ these techniques and tips can potentially produce high quality diagnostic studies on the first attempt.
